ROCK CHURCH
Point Loma
SAN DIEGO, CA
The Rock Church has five campuses and 12 micosites around the San Diego area, all of which receive content from the Point Loma campus, which itself seats 3400.
The production team, overseen by Ron Fulton, determined that they needed to expand the capabilities and flexibility of the existing video system, (primarily designed to be a live image processing system, rather than a broadcast rig), so they turned to Clark.
When the conversations, presentations and proposals were finished, the team settled on a Grass Valley system, complete with router & multiviewers, and k-Frame production switcher with dual Karona panels.
“This system took us from 0 to 60. Grass Valley programming allows us to make the hard decisions ahead of time, then the volunteers just pick scenarios; it gives the whole team the best chance at succeeding.” - Doug Mote, Lead Video Engineer at the Point Loma broadcast site.
Walking to the back of the video engineering racks, Facilities Director Ron Fulton, said “This is what I show people: the racks. Look how nice they are. Clark cleaned it all out, and I can’t tell you how bad it was.”
